ARTWORK FILES
We require Artwork files be in accordance with our Artwork Specifications, and include the following be emailed to us at info@bicyclewaterbottle.com. If Artwork is not provided to us in accordance with our Specifications, then Clients will have no recourse in the event there are any inconsistencies between what was intended and the printed Bottle.
1) Artwork Vector File (e.g., .ai or .eps);
2) Mock-Up of Bottle using our Online Customizer;
3) Template of Bottle using our Templates; and,
4) Font/Typeset file (e.g., .ttf) for any text appearing in the design.
CHANGE REQUESTS
Once the Order Form and Visual have been approved (i.e., Step 6 of Order Process), we do not allow any changes to the Order. The most common request is to change the Shipping Address, which cannot be made, so we encourage you to order your Bottles as far in advance as possible, and be mindful of the Estimated Shipping Date.
COLORED BOTTLES
If you are using a colored Bottle for printing, then please be advised some of the Bottles may have a vertical scuff mark, however discernable. This can occur when ‘casing’ the Bottles for shipping, though the occurrence is random. Darker colored Bottles (e.g., Black, Blue Navy, Green Forest, etc.) may be more prone to scuff, but the scenario is unavoidable, so please be advised of possible scuffing.
ESTIMATED SHIPPING DATE
The Estimated Shipping Date (ESD) is estabished once the Order Form and Visual are approved, and your Order has moved to Printing. Typically, the ESD is 5/7 (to 10/14) business days after the date the Order Form and Visual are approved. While the date is rarely missed, please be advised the ESD is estimated and is only valid if the Order Form and Visual are approved within 24-hours.
IMPORT FEES DUE
For all Orders shipping outside the EU, Import Fees Due may be assessed on your shipment. Your country Custom’s office and/or UPS Brokerage will make this assessment, and UPS will notify us of the amount. All Clients are responsible for paying Import Fees Due, if any, and if you wish to dispute the amount you are required to do so by contacting UPS.
ORDER FORM APPROVAL
Once we receive your Visual from Creative, we will resend your Order Form along with the Visual for final approval; this is the sixth step in the Order Process. We encouarge you to ensure the data contained on the Order Form are correct, and particularly the Shipping Address, as once approved you will no longer be able to make changes to your Order.
OUTLINE EFFECT
When printing on a colored Bottle with Print Underlay (see Artwork Specifications), a ‘fine line’ around the graphic and/or textual elements may appear. We call this the ‘Outline Effect’, and it is the interaction of the Bottle and printed colors, without the Underlay. Unfortunately, the outline effect is not avoidable, and it is not possible to know the result of the above interaction.
OVERS/UNDERS
All Orders are subject to a +/-10% variance. The reason, depending on the intricacy of the design, Printing may have to run some test Bottles before production. We call these Bottles Overs/Unders, and they are typically not shipped with the Order. So, Clients can assume any Order may be 90/110% of the Total Quantity ordered, though we instruct Logistic and Warehouse Teams not to ship any Overs.
PRINT COLORS
We print using Pantone Coated colors only, designated by a ‘C’ suffix in the Pantone Matching Sytem (PMS). If Pantone PMS colors are not provided when submitting your Artwork and/or Order Form, then Creative will attempt to ‘match’ the Print Color. Unfortunately, Clients will have no recourse in the event there are any inconsistencies between the Print Color intended, and the actual color printed on the Bottle.
PRODUCT COLORS
With few exceptions all our Bottle, Cap, Ring, and Spout Colors have a Pantone PMS color reference. Because monitor settings can vary product appearance or color, Clients are encouraged to visit the Pantone website for more information. Unfortunately, we are not able to make any accommodation if the actual product color is different than thought.
SHANTI CAP
Please be advised the turnstile of the Shanti Cap is rubberized, and is more prone to scuff. In fact, our ‘capping’ process of the Bottle may result in some scuffing of the Shanti turnstile. So, if any scuff is a concern or not acceptable, we encourage you to consider our newest Bottle in the range, Daiya. We consider the Diaya Cap to be ‘more premium’ than Shiva, and ‘on par’ with Shanti.
SHIPPING
Some Clients use third-party logistic companies (3PL) to handle fulfillment of their products. If your company employs a 3PL company, then please be advised we do not offer ‘additional support’ to supply chain services. Our experience with 3PL companies is ‘not favorable’, with the worst example being Bottles returning to NDL for the non-payment of Import Fees Due in the USA; the Bottles were ultimately destroyed.
VISUAL APPROVAL
Step 6 in the Order Process is to approve your Visual before the Bottle moves to production. Please take your time to ensure the information contained on the Visual are correct, and particularly the Bottle, Cap, Print, Ring and Spout Colors. While the Order Form and Visual should agree, the Visual takes precedence as the file is used to create the actual print screens.
