PRINTING

ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PRINTING

Where are your custom water bottles printed?

All Tacx® custom water bottles are made and printed exclusively in The Netherlands.

Which printing methods do you use for your custom printed water bottles?

At TacxCUSTOM we print exclusively using screen print, also known as silk screen or serigraph printing. Screen print is a printing technique where a mesh is used to transfer ink onto the substrate, in this case the water bottle. Screen printing is the preferred method of custom printing water bottles as the print is applied thicker, lasts longer, and has a higher level of vibrancy compared to digital printing, for example.

How many colors can you custom print onto a water bottle?

We can print up to 12 colors onto a single water bottle, but this requires a second production run. In other words, our state-of-the-art printer can print up to six (6) colors during a single production run.

Do you need to print a color underlay onto the water bottles?

Yes, we need to print a white underlay onto all colored water bottles when printing in a primary color (e.g., blue, celeste, green, orange, pink, etc.). No white underlay is required when printing in a non-primary color, called achromatic colors, and such colors include black, grey, silver and white. Please note that if white is not part of your custom design and you are printing on a colored water bottle, then the white underlay is considered a screen print (i.e., set-up fee) and print color.

Can you print custom water bottles with high-gloss or glossy inks?

Yes, we can print custom water bottles with a high-gloss or glossy ink finish.

Can you print custom water bottles with a matte or no gloss ink?

Yes, we can print custom water bottles with a matte or no gloss ink finish.

Can you print custom water bottles with a reflective or safety ink?

No, we are not able to print using inks that have a reflective night-time or safety finish.

What is the color format of your custom printed water bottles?

The print color format of our Tacx® custom printed water bottles is Pantone® Print Matching System (PMS), so the colors are called PMS. For more information about the Print Matching System and the range of PMS colors, please visit Pantone® online.
